The Mufti of Ukraine visited the mosques of Kharkov, Poltava and Mirgorod

The Supreme Mufti of Ukraine Sheikh Ahmed Tamim, together with the central office of the Religion Administration  Muslims of Ukraine, visited the Muslim communities of Mirogorod, Poltava and Kharkov.

The main purpose of the meetings was the desire to personally learn about the state of prayer rooms in cities, the needs of communities and their current issues. In addition, the RAMU provided material assistance to low-income parishioners. About 100 food packages were delivered to communities for those in need.

The DUMU has transferred 2,250 COVID-19 rapid tests to the communities' balances so that local administrations can monitor the situation and prevent the spread of the virus.

Recall that according to NSDC Secretary Aleksey Danilov, a dangerous strain of the Delta coronavirus, or the so-called "Indian" strain, was discovered in Ukraine.

“The Muslim community treats the issue of the spread of COVID-19 responsibly and takes measures to counter it,” says the administration of the RAMU.

During a visit to the Mirgorod Muslim community, the Mufti of Ukraine met with the mayor of Serhiy Solomakha, with whom agreements on cooperation for the development of the region were reached.
